What Your $25 Donation Actually Buys a Child

One of the most common questions we hear from potential donors is: "What does my money actually do?"

It's a fair question. And at Reshape ED, we believe you deserve a straight answer — not vague promises about "impact," but a concrete, honest breakdown of exactly where your donation goes.

So here it is.

$25 — The Starter Pack

For $25, we can provide one child with:

  • 2 composition notebooks for classwork and homework
  • A pack of 12 pencils — enough to last the full school year
  • A pencil case to keep everything organized
  • A small ruler and eraser

This is the foundation. A child with these items can participate in every lesson, complete every assignment, and keep their work organized. It sounds simple because it is — and that simplicity is exactly why it works.

$50 — The Full Backpack

For $50, we can provide one child with a complete school supply kit, including:

  • A durable backpack to carry everything safely between home and school
  • 4 composition notebooks for different subjects
  • Pencils, pens, and colored pencils
  • A ruler, scissors, and glue stick
  • A pencil case and eraser

This is the gift of a full year. A child with a complete backpack doesn't have to worry about losing supplies, carrying things in their hands, or showing up to school unprepared. They can focus entirely on learning.

$100 — The Class Champion

For $100, we can equip two children with full backpacks AND contribute shared classroom materials, including:

  • Chalk and markers for the teacher
  • A classroom set of rulers
  • Shared scissors and glue for group projects

When a classroom has shared materials, teachers can run more engaging, hands-on lessons. Your $100 doesn't just help two children — it improves the learning environment for every student in that room.

$250 — The School Hero

For $250, we can equip an entire classroom with essential learning tools. This includes full supply kits for every student, plus a comprehensive set of classroom materials for the teacher.

A $250 gift transforms a classroom. It's the difference between a teacher who has to improvise with whatever scraps are available and a teacher who can run a full, structured lesson with the tools they need.

Why 100% Goes to Programs

We know that trust is earned, not assumed. That's why we want to be transparent: 100% of every dollar donated to Reshape ED goes directly to programs. We don't take administrative overhead out of your donation.

We're a lean organization. Our founders and core team are deeply committed to keeping costs low so that your generosity reaches the children who need it most.

We're also a fully recognized IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 37-1616084), which means your donation is tax-deductible.

The Drive Ends August 31st

Our School Supplies Drive runs through the end of August — timed to make sure supplies arrive before the school year begins. Every day we wait is a day a child goes without.

If you've been thinking about giving, now is the time. See the full giving tiers and donate today — and know exactly what your gift provides for a child in Haiti.
